Well guys, that’s a wrap….!

The HeadsUP team have finished all of their delivery for 2020! What a year it has been!  Across Devon, Paula has been extremely busy travelling across the County. Delivering in Exmouth Community College, Littleham Primary School, Brixington Primary Academy and Marpool Primary school.  Reaching thousands of students delivering a variety of Mental Health sessions to whole classes, small groups and individuals.  It’s great to see that more and more schools are benefitting from the support that Paula is able to offer.

Back in Worcester, the delivery is certainly starting to grow. Laura has delivered small group sessions in Christopher Whitehead Language College, which will continue into the new year.  She has also been working with The Chase in Malvern delivering to all students from Years 7 to 10.  Years 9 and 10 were lucky to have Worcester Warriors RFC working alongside us at HeadsUP.  Frankie from their Community team delivered some rugby sessions with the emphasis on how positive exercise can be when looking after our mental health.  We are looking forward to developing this partnership further to offer to more schools in Worcestershire.  Along with WRFC, we are also in discussions with other clubs and groups who we will hopefully be working in partnership with, within the coming year.  Watch this space……!

We would like to say a very big thank you to the National Lottery Covid Fund, Tesco Centenary fund and The Elmgrant Trust for the funding that has ensured we are able to deliver to all of our young people so far. We would also like to thank and are truly grateful for all the donations; the social media interaction and the positive feedback we receive from schools and clubs that we have been lucky enough to work with in 2020.  Not to mention the behind-the-scenes work, support and love from our friends and family.  We know we are extremely lucky to have this and if anything, this year has shown us that support from people you can trust, and love have been an important part of coping with what 2020 has had to throw at us.

We hope you all have a lovely Christmas break and we really wish you all a happy start to the new year ahead. We are looking forward to working with more of you and supporting more young people in the coming year.

Sending you all best wishes from the HeadsUP team xx
